Senator John P. Jones and Robert Baker bought the land from the California Sepulveda family and built Santa Monica in 1875. The spring, Las Lágrimas de Santa Monica, was the source of the city’s name. One of our most recent clients, Mr. Gilbert, requested shingle roofing for his home, which is situated among the many Santa Monica neighborhoods.

Stages of The Shingle Roofing Project
For our client, the stages for the Santa Monica shingle project included the following:
Planning: We provide an in-depth request and contract outlining the budget and schedule for the installation. During this phase, the roof area was also measured, and the installation site was prepared, including any necessary repairs or replacements.
Removing the outdated roof: At this step, the old shingles were removed, and the roof deck was ready for installation.
Underlayment installation: this stage involved installing an underlayment to shield the roof from moisture.
Shingle installation: Here, our team of expert installers correctly ensured proper ventilation and insulation while expertly placing the shingles.
Finishing touches: Ventilation and ridge caps are added at this stage and then the roof and ground were cleared of debris.
Materials and Technology Used in the Project for a Shingle Roof
We used premium asphalt shingles for the project to provide longevity and design flexibility. A sturdy underlayment layer provided extra waterproofing and leak protection. To firmly fasten the shingles, we use galvanized or stainless steel roofing nails, and metal flashing protects against water seepage at roof penetrations.
The correct ventilation and moisture management were maintained using ridge vents and soffit vents. Installation effectiveness was improved using roofing nail guns.
